Understanding Your Insurance Benefits

Understanding your insurance benefits for chiropractic care can sometimes be confusing. Our knowledgeable staff will help you verify your coverage and explain your benefits clearly. We will contact your insurance provider on your behalf to determine the extent of your coverage, co-pays, deductibles, and any out-of-pocket expenses you may incur.

What to Bring to Your Appointment

Once a new patient appointment is scheduled. Our system sends out an email with your intake paperwork as well as  a text message where you can securely upload a picture of your photo ID and insurance card from your phone.

This process allows us to accurately verify your insurance coverage and expedite the billing process.

Frequently Asked Questions about Insurance

How do I know if my insurance covers chiropractic care?

To determine if your insurance covers chiropractic care, you can contact your insurance provider directly or reach out to our office. We will be happy to assist you in verifying your benefits and understanding your coverage even prior to your first visit.

What if my insurance is not listed?

If your insurance provider is not listed, please contact us. We may still be able to work with your insurance company or offer alternative payment options to ensure you receive the care you need.

Can you help me understand my out-of-pocket costs?

Yes, our office will help you understand any out-of-pocket costs associated with your treatment. We will provide a detailed explanation of your insurance benefits, co-pays, deductibles, and any potential additional costs. Our goal is to ensure there are no surprises when it comes to your financial responsibility.

Do I need a referral from my primary care physician?

The only plan that requires a referral from your PCP is Kaiser. However, several Kaiser plans also have a "self-referred chiropractic rider" which doesn't require a referral. All other plans do not need a referral from your PCP.

How often will my insurance cover chiropractic visits?

Many chiropractic plans have a visit limit per year. This can vary widely between insurance plans. Most plans seen at this office have 10-20 visits per year. Details regarding your specific plan will be presented to you on your first visit or you can always call the number on the back of your insurance card and speak with them directly.

What if I don't have insurance?

No problem! We offer a discounted rate for paying at the time of service and offer packages as well as payment plans.
